 
1. We educate ourselves on local and national levels, continually learning more about the breed, modern advances, genetics and health care for dogs. We belong to the American Kennel Club, cooperating with unannounced visits by club representatives, inspection of our animals and home and audits of our records.
2. Most of our litters boast Championships an average of 5 generations. We continually look for ways to advance the health, intelligence and beauty of our animals. You deserve a pet that is the result of a carefully planned litter. At West Country, your pup is given the same treatment as a potential champion!
3. We encourage you to take your puppy to the vet of your choice within 48 hours. This will validate the good health of the animal. You will also receive the pup's immunization records for the time the pup was in our care.
4. West Country stresses excellent care: We provide clear instructions on the feeding, training, care and grooming of your new dog. We will gladly visit with you in person, by phone or by email.
5. Our facilities are modest and clean, as this is a family's labor of love. A portion of our home has been designated as the birthing (whelping) room. The nursery is surrounded by windows, ceiling fans and provides comfortable heat and air. It opens to an acre and a quarter lot where the moms and pups are allowed plenty of safe, supervised playtime on a lawn that is grassy, shady and clean. The pups have constant supervision, the attention of our 4 beautiful sons, the care of our licensed veterinarian and the love of a family that has life-long experiences in producing pets that are a cut above the rest.
6. We are always happy to provide references: the names and phone numbers of people who have purchased pups from us. WE ENCOURAGE YOU to call them!
7. We explain the importance of responsible pet ownership: the benefits of having your pet spayed or neutered.
